Luzerne Music Center Alumni Page

Welcome to the Luzerne Music Center Alumni page!

WHO are these alumni and WHAT do you think they are doing TODAY?           (****Please see clues below...)

Where are YOU and what are YOU doing?

We have formed an Alumni Association to keep in touch with each  other and help Luzerne Music Center achieve a number of important goals with Bert & Toby, the Center's Board of Directors and a newly created Artistic Advisory Board which includes Yo-Yo Ma, Chris Brubeck, Charles Dutoit and other luminaries.

We are planning our 4th Annual Alumni Weekend, August 29th - 31st, 2008, with whitewater rafting, nightly bonfires, meals by Sally, and our very own Saturday night concert, featuring amateur and professional alumni!

We are currently expanding our 2008 invitation list.

Please take time to bring us up-to-date by completing this form!

We also invite YOU to join our growing Alumni Association!

Your membership is critical to improving Luzerne's campus!

In order to keep attracting the same superb quality of students, faculty members and guest artists, we are renovating our entire campus.  Our goals include: 1) renovation and expansion of the Performance Lodge; 2) construction of a new outdoor performance shed, with piano practice rooms and music listening center; 3) a new dining hall; 4)  new faculty and student housing;  5) expanded and improved practice and recreational facilities and waterfront.

Thanks to the Charles R. Wood Foundation, and other donors, we have received $100,000 and have completed Phase I of our Performance Lodge.

Phase II will open in June, 2008.

***(Here are a few clues about the picture above, by the way....  It is from the 1980's.   One of the alumni serves in the field of development  at Northwestern University's Music Department.   Another is a professional pianist who performed at Luzerne's Lincoln Center 20th Anniversary concert in 2000.  Yet another works for the San Francisco Opera.)

After 27 years of summer music camp, the list goes on......Join Us!
