I have conducted the First State Youth Orchestra for the past 17 years. The orchestra serves the Southern Delaware area and is part of the Music School of Delaware. I also teach at the Music School of Delaware and the St. Andrews High school with much success.

What excites you about Luzerne Music Center?
I love LMC. Everything excites me there. The atmosphere is great, the music-making is amazing and the students are very talented. It's the greatest environment for students to experience music, and for the faculty to perform and to teach.

What can campers expect to learn while working with you this summer?
When teaching conducting, I focus on the need to go deeper into your knowledge of music - knowing the conducting motions, knowing the score, and understanding the music and the composer.

I‘m a conductor and music educator that is passionate about working with Youth, Community, and Professional Orchestras. After graduating with a Masters Degree in Orchestral Conducting from Florida State University under Alex Jimenez, I was fortunate to get the Assitant Conductor position with Sinfonia Gulf Coast where I’m the Music Director of the Youth Orchestra and I am the Education and Community Outreach Coordinator. Throughout my career I’ve had the pleasure of working with many Youth Orchestras including Sarasota Youth Orchestra, Tallahassee Youth Orchestra, and now Sinfonia Gulf Coast.
In 2022 I be will be guest conducting the Panama City Symphony Orchestra and leading a subscription concert with Sinfonia Gulf Coast of Stravinsky‘s “The Soldier’s Tale” with Narration. I’m also the Clinician for the 2022 Pinellas All County Orchestra.
In the Summer of 2021 I placed in the semifinals of the Lliria City of Music Conducting Competition. I’m also a conducting fellow with the Chicago Sinfonietta under maestra Mei Ann Chen and I’ve recently been named the Assistant Conductor at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp.
As a violinist I’ve studied with former concertmaster of the New York Philharmonic Eliot Chapo and also I’ve played principal positions with many professional orchestras in the Florida Panhandle.

What excites you about Luzerne Music Center?
I’m really excited about the unique experience of being immersed in music on a daily basis and working with young students. LMC is unique in the sense that we strive to provide a enriching experience for each individual student and the commitment to creating an environment of positivity, community, teamwork, and acceptance. I’m excited to join the LMC team and looking forward to creating relationships that will last a lifetime!

What can campers expect to learn while working with you this summer?
Since I’m the Conductor for the Orchestra I want to provide a space that the campers can learn and experience what it feels like to play in an ensemble that values community and teamwork. I hope to convince the campers that the beauty of music isn’t just found on the staff and theory, but in expression, passion, and building community. Using technique as a foundation I aspire to teach students how we serve the music and become artist.
